Large S&L with typical modern décor. Sadly even the draught Doom Bar has been discontinued so only keg on offer. Worse, the Guinness had a distinct phenolic taste, which usually implies deficiencies in line cleaning.

Pleasant small pub near station with unexceptional décor. Three beers from Sussex on offer at time of visit, and seemed well kept.

Well-described by Pub SignMan below. I will only comment that the address is misleading as it is actually in Civic Court; from St Peters Street go behind Ladbrokes, or there is a passageway from Victoria Street by the Slug & Lettuce.

This is a Spanish wine and sherry bar with a fair range of imported bottles that is also a gourmet shop.

Large family dining pub, with equally large gardens. A few ales on draught, but some experience of not being in the best condition.

One L-shaped room with the bar in the right angle. List of beers on the wall. Decent selection of which I had Titanic Stout. Friendly barman who served me even though he was off shift. Worth a return in in the area.

Small room to the right on entry to the large main room with the bar to the rear. Six real ales, three were off but the Riggwelter that was on more than made up for that. Reasonable keg offerings as well.

Just been taken over and there are no signs outside so not that easy to find. Two hand pumps, one on. One big room with bar to rear. Pool table to right side. Loads of flashing lights on the wall and lights on the roof, but still a dark place. Needs ... [more>]
