The Oddfellows may well have an address on the High Street, but it is tucked away in a village-like location alongside the parish church of Northallerton.

We were welcomed in on our Sunday evening visit and chose to sit in the window watching the comings and goings both inside and out.

On the real ale front, they were having problems with a Citra beer that would probably have been my choice. Instead, I chose the North Riding Mosaic Pale, which was a very satisfactory substitute. The other ale was Copper Dragon Golden Pippin.

A card game was in full swing towards the rear of the pub, with the friendly locals enjoying themselves. Bar staff were friendly and professional.

Probably the second best pub we visited in Northallerton.

A respectable locals pub, comprising of one rectangle shaped room, with the bar down the right hand side and some alcove seating either side of the front entrance. The interior was fairly modern in style, for such a traditional looking pub from the outside. Perhaps more on the grounds of a sports bar, what with two large screens mounted on the walls opposite the bar. They even had one of those smaller tacky looking screens on the wall advertising local businesses. The pub had a mix of young and older customers, The older crowd most probably reminiscing back to the days when this was a quiet old style country pub, I tend to agree with them.
Mainly lager drinkers on our visit, but they did have three handpumps serving Wainwright, Beer Monkey Blonde and Camerons Sanctuary. We went for the Beer Monkey, which was fine.

Main room with bar to the right. Very much a locals pub. Three weak real ales and the usual keg offerings.
