Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Old Chainyard
Traditional local in quite a large detached building set back from the road by a small parking area. The interior has been opened out at some stage to leave a U-shaped layout, although there is still separation between the bar and the seating areas on each side, with all parts plainly furnished and decorated. A patio area can also be found at the back. A game of dominoes was being played on one table, and a few other customers were bringing in takeaway meals to eat with their drinks. It may be a Good Beer Guide pub, but just Salopian's Oracle (£3.30, admittedly in fine shape) available from the three handpumps, although a reversed Green Duck was also visible on another.

Another Good Beer Guide entry that maybe, I would have walked on by without the recommendation.
A community local in the best sense of the term.
Cash only.
Just the two real ales on. Both Salopian. Hop Twister in good condition.

Enjoyed our visit to this friendly locals pub which features in the 2019 Good Beer Guide. There were 4 handpumps which feature 2 beers that are on, and the next 2 which are settling in the cellar. We enjoyed Oakham Jester and Olde Swan Bumblehole. The 2 coming next were a Salopian and another Oakham. There is a lovely big garden at the rear which will be great in the summer months.
