Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Old Chainyard

Traditional local in quite a large detached building set back from the road by a small parking area. The interior has been opened out at some stage to leave a U-shaped layout, although there is still separation between the bar and the seating areas on each side, with all parts plainly furnished and decorated. A patio area can also be found at the back. A game of dominoes was being played on one table, and a few other customers were bringing in takeaway meals to eat with their drinks. It may be a Good Beer Guide pub, but just Salopian's Oracle (£3.30, admittedly in fine shape) available from the three handpumps, although a reversed Green Duck was also visible on another.

Another Good Beer Guide entry that maybe, I would have walked on by without the recommendation.

A community local in the best sense of the term.
Cash only.
Just the two real ales on. Both Salopian. Hop Twister in good condition.

Enjoyed our visit to this friendly locals pub which features in the 2019 Good Beer Guide. There were 4 handpumps which feature 2 beers that are on, and the next 2 which are settling in the cellar. We enjoyed Oakham Jester and Olde Swan Bumblehole. The 2 coming next were a Salopian and another Oakham. There is a lovely big garden at the rear which will be great in the summer months.

This is what looks like a mid 20th century built pub, despite the beams inside that I also thought were fake.
Inside it's a single L shaped room and a nice garden at the rear with proper grass and a small marquee. There is a small alcove on the left which is the darts area and a poster indicated they have two teams here. There were two large TV screens which were both off despite the Wimblebore being on and a CD player was on at a reasonable level. The manageress here seemed almost as obsessive about the beer as me which I thought was good. When I arrived it was just Oakham Bishop's Farewell on but she said she was about to put on their Citra and Salopian Hop Twister. this left just Thornbridge Jaipur settling or in JDW terminology "available soon". I tried the Bishop's Farewell which was OK but may have been the tail end of the cask then the Citra (excellent) and finally a couple of Hop Twisters which were outstanding.
I normally associate this sort of Community Local with being a keg only dump like the London ones I used to play darts in roughly thirty years ago so it's nice to find one with decent beer and at a reasonable price as all beers tried were £3.10. This one is well worth a visit and I would happily return.

Rather bare unassuming old fashioned Coseley centre pub, but it makes up for it by being tidy, friendly and with 6 real ales. A locals pub, its also worth the walk from the railway station to support the ales.

A detached undressed brick cottage-style pub, with a nice front-facing Dutch gable. The lettering on the signs has fallen off a little, so it looks a bit unkempt. It has a beer garden.

The interior has a single, straight room (i think!), where the serving bar faces you on entry. The walls and ceiling are in a crimson colour, with some brown, with fake beams and some wood panel and carpet floor. There is a brick chimney breast. An all-round mix of pictures and prints adorn the walls and there is a corner of the room given over to a music system - a local put on a classic rock cd for us, after he told us we could have what ever we liked, but then refused our suggestions! There was no TV that i saw. The service was friendly, as were the locals - it had a locals feel about it.

Beer; tap stuff with a couple of real ales - Grafton Medicine Man Bitter, which looked a little flat and an excellent Holden's Special bitter.

A pleasant locals pub for a pint, especially when it is as good as the Holden's Special. Worth a pop in for a swifty at least.

The Old Chainyard a large stand alone pub in Coseley.
This pub is a Banks's tied house and once inside there was one largish room which was comfortable enough, there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Banks's bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Websters Green Label.
