Has the feel of a gay bar other than the windows aren't blacked out. No real ales - just keg.

Busy place, this one, full of the trendy types. Island bar, no hand pumps, just keg. Room at the back and upstairs. Not my sort of place.

Refurbished three-room pub, that feels a bit rough-and-ready but not in a hostile way. It retains two (almost) separate bars, and there is also a side room with a pool table. The smaller front bar also has a real fire that was starting to come into... [more>]

Traditional-looking Marston's local that is a bit of a surprise inside since it has been thoroughly refurbished in a bright modern style and is quite food orientated. Several seating areas within the partly opened-out interior. B&B accommodation al... [more>]

This small three roomed place is OK if you're nearby but whether its worth the walk from town is debatable. Described elsewhere I found it to be average to be honest.
The Salopian Bar

The Salopian Bar

Last visited over ten years ago, but this remains a top-notch real ale pub. There was a lot of fuss at one time about this place looking too 'modern' or even 'trendy', but I think that few people would make the same comments nowadays. Thankfully, t... [more>]

Upmarket Brunning & Price dining pub in what should be a fine quayside position although a row of large trees somewhat obscures the view. Comprises a long rectangular space with the bar counter in the centre and a modicum of sub-division provided by... [more>]

Modern fit out of a Spoons, making it different, but fittings feel a little cheap. Large space on an L shape, with some separation, again unusual. Good beer and service
