Inverted L-shaped pub with the bar in the nick of the L. Seating at rear for diners. Three hand pumps, two weak, the other Directors which for once was quite passable. Seating outside which on a sunny day was quite pleasing. Not a bad pub at all.

One room Antic pub with the bar to the left. Somewhat uncomfortable cinema type seating. Two reversed hand pumps so I had a Leffe which tasted like Leffe always does.

Can't say I agree with the review below. Nothing going for this place. Walk in past a pool table to the bar on the right side. All keg rubbish, no hand pumps. Has a Irish feel to it. Will not be returning.

Cavernous Greene King pub with an island bar. Several hand pumps, nothing of any strength. Loads of TVs on the walls. Not worth a revisit.

Two entrances to the bar in the middle. Four hand pumps, three reversed, the other 4.2 ABV. Quite busy but not my cup of tea.

Typical blacked out gay bar. Bar to the left - just keg of course. Only me in to start with - a few others followed. Nothing special.

Large one room with the bar to the left. No hand pumps - just keg. Standard Revolution.

This is still a Greene King pub, so the ale choice wasn't as exciting as some Cambridge pubs, but it did have on GK Abbot, Black Sheep Bitter, Hogsback TEA and Brain's Rev James. That's not too bad. I didn't see any sign of food on Saturday afternoon... [more>]

L-shaped room with the bar facing you as you walk in. Weak real ales on offer. Stage to the right. The long room to the left opens out onto a beer garden. Nothing special. Opens at 4pm.

The ale selection in here was pretty good - Greene King Abbot; GK XX (a rarely seen mild); Skinner's Cornish Knocker; St Austell Tribute; Woodford Wherry; and something from Redemption. Food is clearly a major player in here, as most people were eati... [more>]

This was my Cambridge pub of the day. As we entered we were met by the friendly landlady who was happy to engage us in conversation about the pub, which is apparently a Banks & Taylor pub leased(?) from Charles Wells. There were ten handpumps and all... [more>]

One of my fellow drinkers told me that there were fourteen real ales on in here - he's probably right but I stopped counting after I ran out of fingers and thumbs. As you enter, the bank of fridges are still there facing you containing what appeared ... [more>]

I found this quite an interesting pub, and unlike the previous reviewer I didn't think it was soulless, although perhaps a bit clinical in places. But as you enter into the small vestibe you know where to go - a sign to the room on the right says go ... [more>]

At last, a decent pub. Bar in the centre as you enter. Various hand pumps, including Jaipur which I naturally had. Beer garden to the rear, seating out front. I would return to this place

Standard pub with the bar to the middle. Two weakish real ales. Eating area to the rear. Not worth a return. |
