Well worth a visit just to see the sheer size of the place, we got in here on a cold and wet Tuesday night so a look around the outside was definitely out of the question, but a good wander around the ground and first floor kept us occupied. I agree ... [more>]

A large barn in Beatlestreet. One of many horrible pubs on Mathew St this is a dark, dull, vacuous place. Mathew St is for tourists and dont-know-any-better sheep. Lager-a-likes are your staple drinks in here. Dire.

I turned up here early on a damp Wednesday afternoon to find it very food orientated. It looked like I was the only one just visiting for a beer. It's basically a wooden floored single room with the bar on the left and split into areas. There are tw... [more>]

A good traditional backstreet pub where you will meet some interesting local characters perched around the front bar, who like nothing better than a good pint of beer and a chat. The pub is made up of three main areas, the front bar as you enter with... [more>]

This Marston pub is another one that was once a Burtonwood house. There are doors to the left and right as you enter. I went in the left room which sounded quieter. This is a long narrow carpeted room with a huge TV at the far end which was turned of... [more>]

This was my target pub in Mold. It's a proper micropub with no TV, music or spirits. It appears to be set in a part of some sort of municipal building. It's a single rectangular room with the bar at the rear and a wide pillar in the middle of the roo... [more>]

This is a typical small seaside hotel, well described below. I went in the left bar which had a few young locals in putting a very odd range of records on the jukebox. There is a TV projector screen but it was turned off. There are two hand pumps bu... [more>]

This place had been open for just over a year on my visit. It's a fairly typical micropub with a square room that has the bar on the rear left and there is a small area at the rear. Although there are no TVs or other electronic stuff they did have mu... [more>]

This is an unusual Titanic outlet in that it's a cafe / bar set at the end of a few shops in a modern area of housing on the Eastern edge of Stafford. I got here a few minutes before midday on a Tuesday when it was much more of a cafe than a bar as t... [more>]

This is a large pub that has been modernised by BCA into a comfortable public bar area at the front and a large lounge at the side and rear. I went in the public bar which has a wooden floor, a dart board and a TV showing sport "news". There is anoth... [more>]
