The three Crowns is the final of three pubs within a small walk of each other on Easthorpe Street. A strange shaped place it is located on the first floor of the building and is one long bar down one side of the room on the right as you enter with the seating on the left hand side . Further on through the bar is another room that houses an Indian restaurant so this is a bit like the bar for the restaurant but is also a pub in its own right as the two are distinctly separate while I presume working together. The bar is is very modern with bar wood floors with a bright and airy feel with the seating are too quit stylish but far too bright and fancy for my liking. The pub was relatively quiet on my Saturday evening visit with just a few around the bar on the bar stools. There was six pumps on the bar but only three were clipped. The beers available were Castle Rocks Preservation, Nottingham EPA and Butcombe Bitter. Sadly the Preservation had ran out when we ordered so we settled for a Butcombe and it was in superb condition, really really well kept and a very nice enjoyable drink that made up for the fact that only two ales were on. The prices were reasonable with the EPA being a regular at £3.10. It also seemed like London pride is usually on as well as these two were on the chalk board so the others I presume were guests. Although not very pub ish inside it was still an enjoyable place to sit and have a nice kept beer in peaceful surroundings, no loud music or anything like that. A nice little pub/.bar that serves good beer and one that is a very nice stop off for a pint when crawling round Ruddingtion. Probably not a session pub but still a nice little find.

This pub was visited as it is in the 2013 Good Beer Guide, but I was unable to rate it as it was closed, despite being shown as open 12 - 3 on weekdays except Monday and Tuesday. There was a sign on the railing in front of the pub for Three Spices and I thought at first the pub had closed and become and Indian Restaurant, but we did see someone go into the back entrance, so I checked. They are not opening lunchtimes at the moment, and the Three Spices is the restaurant at the back of the pub. I asked what the beers were, and was told 2 from Nottingham brewery and London Pride.

The Three Crowns used to be a Shipstones tied house.
This pub has been opened out and now has one longish narrow room the bar is on the right and the seating opposite the bar is tall stools and large beer barrels as tables,there is some more comfy seating at the front of the pub.
The pub as a modern look to it with pine floors and there was a good choice of beer on here i had a drink of Nottingham Extra Pale Ale this was a very nice drink there was also Nottingham Rock Mild and London Pride these were permanent beers the guest beers were Holden Table Tapper and Cottage Summer Conquest.
I quite liked it in here but its best to sit near the front as the beer barrels and stools dont look that comfy.
