Barony, Edinburgh

An L shaped pub with lots of pew like seating around the sides, along with some standard dining tables and chairs. Live music is advertised every couple of weeks. There were 6 beers available, none of them very interesting really. I had a pint of a beer from Stewart which was just about drinkable. I used to like this bar when I worked just down the road. It hssn't improved with age in my opinion.

Ornate old style bar with up to 7 real ales and food served. Brewery memorabilia on the walls and tiled designs. The pub was advertising live music and has a real fire. Makes a good double header with the nearby cask and barrel.

One of several decent real pub pubs in and around Broughton Street. It comprises a 'L'-shaped bar with the entrance at street level at one end and large windows at first-floor level at the other. Decorative tiling on the lower parts of the walls, and various other features of interest. Live music advertised every Sunday. Seven of eight handpumps in operation, with a decent selection including Edinburgh Gold from the excellent Stewart Brewing (£3.40).
