A micropub converted from what was once a butchers. A comfy seating area at the front and some barstools are the seating options. It's a bit bare at the moment, but it is fairly new, so I'm sure it will mature with age. Loads of board games in one co... [more>]

This time I managed to get a drink in here, and I’m glad I made the effort of a return visit. There were a couple of ales on – Theakston’s “Tour de Wot”, and something called Alma Ale (£2 a half). Unfortunately the barmaid didn’t know who brewed it, ... [more>]

This is another re-visit. They did have on Doom Bar (£2 a half as I recall) but it was undrinkable. I guess this another pub that’s done a deal to stock this beer, but my guess is that they don’t sell enough to keep the quality up to scratch. The war... [more>]

Oh wow! couldn't have picked a better visit. Three Anarchy ales on handpump, so I immediately went for the Citra Star, which was in top class condition. I then went for the Anarchy Blonde Star, which was equally as good. They also had Anarchy Hard Ti... [more>]

This one has been on my list for some while, and I managed to get here the other day. The ale selection was as good as I had expected, with Palmer’s IPA; Hogsback TEA; Timothy Taylor Landlord; Waggledance; Darkstar Sunburst; and Bingham’s Twyford Tip... [more>]

The handpump had a Doom Bar clip on it, but the barmaid/landlady said they don’t sell it during the summer because it goes off too quickly. She said that they should have it back on by September. I doubt whether I’ll make the effort of returning to s... [more>]

One of only 2 left in the village. A 2 roomed pub with the rooms to the left and right. The lounge is to the left and this is a comfortable place. A fish tank is here and the bar has 2 handpumps with only 1 on dispensing Black Sheep. The public bar i... [more>]

A basic no nonsense pub. L-shaped interior with a central servery. To the right is a raised area with a pool table. To the left there is another area and here you will find 2 dart boards. One handpump on the bar serving Doom Bore. A pretty standard p... [more>]

This is the home of the Eagles according to a sign on the outside. I guess a lot of places in this part of the road might make that claim, and I suppose that Selhurst Park might be among them. The pub looks good from the outside, with, obviously, CPF... [more>]

I agree with the others .Nice little Fullers pub.Old fashioned ,brown wood.Being old fashioned might explain the lack of customers compared with other local pubs.Or was it because only Olivers island and Pride on cask. |
