This is part of Gainsborough Trinity FC, or at least its supporters club. The Blues, or Holy Blues to give them their Sunday name, have a stadium holding 5,000 people; this building forms one corner of the ground. It is a club, but on a busy day for a local derby versus Worksop Town I was able to enter without showing a Camra membership card or any other proof of entitlement. There was one solitary hand pump serving a very good 4.6% pale from Horncastle brewery called Virgil's Journey (NBSS 4 - just £3.45 a pint), though WhatPub mentions one regular beer and two others that vary. I'll have to check this out if I return on a quieter day. There were 1,248 in the ground, and until 15 minutes before kick off I reckon there were more than 200 of them in the two rooms that make up the Blues Club.
