After a fire 18 months ago the willow Brook is up and running again just as it was before. this conversion from a former working men's club and has a huge bar running the entire length of the main bar area. there are three distinct rooms, the main bar, the small dining room to the left as you enter and the legend open plan seating and dining area at the back of the pub. Being a Castle Rock pub there is a huge selection of beers available which on my visit consisted of a lot of the the castle rock range including Harvest pale (£2.90) sherifs tipple (£2.60) preservation (£3.00) and Elsie mo (£3.10). the guest beers on my visit were Everards tiger (£3.20) Adnans mosaic pale (£3.30) Woodfords Werry (3.20) Dancing Duck Indian porter (3.40) Darkstar Anerican pale ale (£3.40) and Flipside Gedling Tally (£3.30). there were a couple of the Castle rock beers duplicated in some of the pumps which I believe on busier periods/weekends will feature more guests. The Werry and the preservation were both kept very well and both enjoyable drinks. This is a great beer pub to come to as the selection and rotation of beers is always good and you will always get a good pony here. The only downside is the Decor which is not in keep with castle rocks usual model probably because of its change from a working men's club. This means everything is a little open and not that cosey which voids it of atmosphere. The best thine I would say then would be on a hot sunny day as the two outside seating areas are great for enjoying a beer in the sun. Another good pub from Castle Rock that is well worth the journey out of town for.
