In spite of the Greene King pub sign out in the front, this pub is now run by the Pub People Company from Alfreton. The interior was a lot larger than expected with a large L shaped room, stretching back a good bit on the right, along with the good sized bar area finished in dark oak. To add to this space, there was also a lower front room and an upper room, accessible by a short staircase, where a pool table could be found. The interior was traditional, with lots of exposed timbers and an impressive sized red brick fireplace, found at the end of the room, on the left hand side. Three handpumps serving Shipstones Nut Brown, Doombar and Nottingham Brewery Rock Bitter. The Rock Bitter being in decent condition on our Friday lunchtime visit.

This pub was originally called the White Bull but Shipstones did the pub up and renamed it the Hayloft.
Once inside there is one longish room that is quite smart and it is on two levels.
When i first went in this pub it was a Shipstones tied house nad there were two real ales on the bar with both Shipstones mild and bitter being very nice drinks.
The pub now has three real ales on the bar and one is a locale usually Castle Rock Harvest Pale with the other two being from larger national brewerys.
I have been in this pub quite a few times and have always enjoyed it here.
