Requested be closed with reason - Other: Manchester Evening News reports the pub as closed, possibly to be replaced by housing. A more recent item says that, in the meantime, it has seen use as a cannabis farm!

A pleasant enough pub with 2 distinct areas , one with a dartboard and a very neat beer garden. There was a handpump, but no beer on it, although there were some pump clips behind the bar. Apparently they buy one 9 gallon per week and when it's gone it's gone. Sky Sports is a big draw here. As there was no ale I had a pint of fizz and went to sit in the suntrap of a garden in the very warm sunshine, very nice it was too. I can almost bear to drink lager in these conditions.
