A decent place this one, with a choice of four ales on stillage on our visit, which were Greenfield Silver Owl, Dunham Massey Landlady, Beartown Kadick Gold and Dunham Massey Mild. I went for the Greenfield, which was in good condition, would have preferred it dispensed through a handpump, but still I stayed for another pint. The pub had a nice relaxed atmosphere and we sat at the front, where it wasn't too long until a couple of the locals popped in and got chatting away. The pub also has a cheeky little dog named Colin, who will come up to you and if you haven't got any tit bits for him he soon scurries away. The couple of locals were drinking bottles of stout and told us there was no corkage costs for the bottled beers and that they wouldn't pay corkage anyway.

A micropub and bottle shop converted from a hairdressers just a few doors away from the Crafty Pint. There are two tables near the entrance and then a couple of steps up to the bar area. 8 beers are on stillage, but only 4 can be on at any one time with the others conditioning. There are loads of bottles on the shelves to the right which can be drunk on the premises. There's real cider as well. I got talking to the barman/owner (Dave) and another customer about all things beery. All the ales are local which was a shame really as I'd has them all previously, but the two beers I tried were in very good nick. It's a friendly little place and I'll definitely call back.

A cosy well decorated micro pub. On entry, the bar is on the left wall of the long narrow room. There are no pumps or taps on the bar as all the beer is on an eight barrel stillage behind the bar. Four of these are likely to be in use at a time as the others are conditioning. On the right hand wall there is a very large bottle store for off sales. Around the wall of the room is the sign from what was Britons longest pub name (The Old Thirteenth Cheshire Astley Volunteer Rifleman Corps Inn) rescued after the pubs closure. The single toilet is located through the rear pub kitchen. There is another room upstairs which I did not view.
