The Lord Stamford is a large U-shaped pub with a central bar counter that faces the large central entrance to the front. Banquette seating runs up the left and right-hand walls leaving a lot of standing room around the bar counter that supports standard keg alongside Cruzcampo and Birra Moretti. Televisions throughout were showing Bolton squeezing past their their play-off semi-final on aggregate during my Tuesday evening visit. A tidy pub that is popular with the older gents of the area. The service was polite, but I found it a bit boring if I’m being honest.

Similar to many town centre pubs. Mainly older clientele of a day.

A pub that looks like it's been recently refurbished. It's now just a large room with some raised seating near the front windows. Keg only, so I had to have a half of fizz. Very busy with the post work, high vis jacket crowd. Quite boisterous in a friendly sort of way. It obviously fits a niche and I'm afraid I don't fit into it, so I won't be bothering again.
