Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Albert

Attractive, albeit plainly decorated façade. Typical gastro-pub interior, with slightly rustic furniture around the 'U'-shaped bar. Extended with a small conservatory to one side, beyond which lies quite a spacious beer garden which is a pleasant place to sit with the sun out. Clientele seemed to be mostly Primrose Hill media types, so it was no surprise at all that the first person I saw on entering was well-known TV journalist. Three handpumps on the bar counter, offering an unadventurous choice of Greene King IPA, Doom Bar (£3.80) and Gales Spring Sprinter.

On paper this is a nice pub: traditional, good décor inside and out, decent loos and possibly a small area to the rear as well as friendly and efficient staff; the prices are probably the lowest in the vicinity.

However, on one visit I didn't care for the incessantly barking large dog, another visit was spoiled by deafening darts commentary on the huge TV. I'm also no fan of many of the clients here who I think may be refugees from the former Queen's No. 1 down the road; frequently they are a sweary bunch, and at a volume to the level where their expletives can be heard from the pavement.

A few years ago this was a real gem, but management needs to grow some and reign in the behaviour of its newer customers. Until then there's little reason to return, though there's not much that's good around here.
