This pub has a very good glazed tiled exterior and most attractive leaded windows with stained glass. There is a U shaped bar and two wings generally traditional furniture, and dining tables to the front. There is a small rear section which in turn leads to the large beer garden and the flatscreens were off and looked terrestrial only (ie 6 Nations). The food doesn't seem expensive for the area ,simple pub grub such as burgers £16.
At the bar the choice was Fullers Hophead and Bass (NBSS 3) with a Five Points Pale reversed but there were some interesting craft keg options.
The pub was quiet on my Monday evening visit but it seemed a decent place to enjoy a pint in the very upmarket area.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Albert

Attractive, albeit plainly decorated façade. Typical gastro-pub interior, with slightly rustic furniture around the 'U'-shaped bar. Extended with a small conservatory to one side, beyond which lies quite a spacious beer garden which is a pleasant place to sit with the sun out. Clientele seemed to be mostly Primrose Hill media types, so it was no surprise at all that the first person I saw on entering was well-known TV journalist. Three handpumps on the bar counter, offering an unadventurous choice of Greene King IPA, Doom Bar (£3.80) and Gales Spring Sprinter.

On paper this is a nice pub: traditional, good décor inside and out, decent loos and possibly a small area to the rear as well as friendly and efficient staff; the prices are probably the lowest in the vicinity.

However, on one visit I didn't care for the incessantly barking large dog, another visit was spoiled by deafening darts commentary on the huge TV. I'm also no fan of many of the clients here who I think may be refugees from the former Queen's No. 1 down the road; frequently they are a sweary bunch, and at a volume to the level where their expletives can be heard from the pavement.

A few years ago this was a real gem, but management needs to grow some and reign in the behaviour of its newer customers. Until then there's little reason to return, though there's not much that's good around here.

This pub turned out to be better than I expected. The only ales on were GKIPA and Abbot unfortunately, but I nevertheless quite enjoyed my visit. Like other pubs in the immediate vicinity, it has intentionally moved upmarket. It’s bare-boarded, with the usual solid wood tables, but comfortable nonetheless. There was some laid back blues being played during my late lunchtime/early afternoon visit, making a very welcome change from the usual banal pop music. The service was friendly enough.
It still retains some of the vestiges of its Victorian, or perhaps Edwardian, heritage. There was what looked like some old etched glasswork in a panel by the door; a cast iron (?) pillar in front of the bar; some original looking roses round the chandeliers plus decorated cornices. The leaded light windows look the real deal as a well. I would say that the food doesn’t appear cheap, but as I didn’t eat there I can’t comment on the quality and therefore can’t say if it is good value or not. I quite like the pub, but would welcome a better choice of ales. But you either like GK ales or you don’t. For me, in this case it’s the lack of decent ale choice that puts this pub in the “OK” category, rather than the “good” category.

I really liked this pub and it would be my pub of choice in the area if the only ale available wasn't Greene King IPA and Abbot. Standard and premium lagers are also available from the very nice bar staff.

There is a conservatory at the rear that overlooks the garden and there are also three picnic tables on the path outside the front of the pub.

I liked the crowd in here and it certainly wasn't as stuffy or stuck up as some other nearby pubs.
