Just one real ale on the bar, which was Greene King IPA. I've had some drinkable, even pleasant, GK IPA in my time, but in this instance it was the sort of beer that can give real ale a bad name. I think I would have given the pub higher marks if there had only been John Smiths Smooth Crap available. If you ever find yourself in the Unicorn across the road, and someone suggests coming in here next, just show them this review and stay where you are.

The Queens Head is a corner pub that is situated at the bottom end of the pedestrianised shopping street.
Once inside this pub was quite smart and comfortable with carpets and bench seating with small stools,when i went in this pub it was a Whitbread tied house and there were no real ales on the bar i had a drink of keg Whitbread Tankard which was a pretty poor drink.
This was a decent enough pub that was let down by having no real ales on,i hope things have improved since my visit here.
