Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Unicorn

Town centre local no longer serving real ales. The keg selection was Kronenbourg, John Smith's Extra Cold, Strongbow & Strongbow Dark Fruit, Carling, Fosters, Inch's, Guinness, Heineken Silver, Moretti & Amstel.

It's a large and open-plan room with lots of TV screens showing various sporting events. These included horse racing and Scottish football on our brief visit, where we decided to have shots instead of any of the uninviting keg offerings.

Recently reopened under the Amber Inns banner, this is now a large shopping centre pub with a long bar down the right hand side and booth seating down the left, with each area having a TV screen showing horse racing when I was there. There were four hand pumps on the bar, two of which had beers from Tetleys (Golden and a seasonal beer), the other two being reserved for beers from local Welbeck Abbey brewery. Their Henrietta, a pale session beer, was available at £2.20 a pint, with Red Feathers "coming soon" at the same price, though I don't know if this was permanent or promotional. The Henrietta was ok but nothing special. It's good to see this sort of pub, which could easily have been selling Doom Bar or Bombardier, supporting a local brewery instead. Having said which, I have to also say it's not really my kind of pub, so I won't be making frequent visits in future.

The Unicorn is a nice looking pub that is on Worksops main shopping street.
Once inside this pub was quite smart with a cosy feel to it,the pub was carpeted and had small tables and chairs, when i went in this pub is was a Bass tied house and there were no real ales on the bar i had a drink of keg Stones bitter which was drinkable but nothing special the other keg beer was Boddingtons bitter.
The pub was very popular with older shoppers.
