The Plank and Leggit is a large fairly modern pub that is situated fairly close to Sawley Marina.
The pub opened in the late 90s.
Once inside there is a large L shaped room that is on three different levels, the front area nearest the main road is on the highest level, this area is more drinker friendly, but the tables have condiments on them, the bar is down a step, this area is also drinker friendly but the tables had condiments and menus on them, the rear left side seemed more like a proper dining area.
There were two pumps on the bar, both had Black Sheep bitter on,this was a decent drink at a decent price.
The pub was very busy on my saturday dinner visit with a mix of diners and drinkers, the pub is very child friendly, there is also a wacky wharehouse to the rear of the pub.
This is mainly a family dining pub,but as a drinker i was made just as welcome.
