Biggish micro in a single long room in a mix of exposed brick and red painted panelling. Seating at settles, chairs and stools beside cast iron based tables. The counter is at an angle in the back left corner, toilets to the right. Six pulls of smaller breweries, Abbeydale, Salopian, Salamander and three lesser known to me. A few kegs mostly ordinary and spirits. Not a Sam’s pub but there are brass signs over the counter imploring no dancing, singing, spitting or swearing. Quite a jolly bantering atmosphere among the few locals on my lunchtime visit. There is pump clip and Camra award decor but very restrained. GBG2023 listed.

Now called The Middle Pub - see picture. Entrance in side alley with the bar to the right as you enter. Another room to the left. One weak real ale.

This pub is quite easy to miss as theres no hanging sign or large pub name on the front.
There is no front door here you have to go down a wideish entry and the door is on the right once inside here the pub is fairly basic but i found it to be clean and i was happy having a drink in here.
There was only one real ale on here which was John Smiths cask this was a decent drink.
I quite liked this pub.
