E TA left this review about Tigerlily

Tigerlily is an up-market pub, club, restaurant and hotel in the centre of the fashionable New Town area. The Georgian facade is subtly imposing, but inside it becomes a modern (which could also mean trendy) eating and drinking establishment for those with enough cash - if nothing else, it's expensive.

There is no real ale on, so bottled European beers is the best way to go if you don't want to drink wine. The clientele includes Edinburgh's bright and beautiful - a few famous faces are usually on view. Not recommended for a crawl, but it's a good place for a special meal, party or a quick (expensive) drink before going to the Wetherspoons nearby (The Standing Order)for some decent cheap ale.
