Much as others have stated, on the Real Ale side 6 from Thornbridge and 4 guests. Also 3 beers from Bernard and 11 other taps for imported beers, cider and lager plus a vast range of imported bottled beers. Amongst the imported beers on tap during my visit were 3 from Sierra Nevada including 'Bigfoot' at 9.6%!!!
Well worth a visit but can get packed.

If only all stations had a bar like this one for a decent pint between trains. Worth visiting to sample quality Thornbridge ale and to experience an almost unspoilt Victorian interior.

Quite a small interior but still showing it's Victorian splendour with an ornate mosaic floor and a new bar with all the Thornbridge ales and some guests together with a large number of continental lager taps. The furniture is more functional than attractive and there is a further seating area on the street entrance side.My Jaipur IPA was good and this place is well worth popping in when at the station or starting a crawl. Not sure why it's been dropped from the GBG but the competition in this city on the real ale front is red hot.

This is quite apart from the stereotypical 'station pub' and due to the deluge of praise it had been getting I felt in need of a visit. Inside it is a sympathetically restored boozer with classy tiling and a nice ornate bar as pictured above. Thornbridge dominates on the beer front and my pint of Lord Marples was okay (I'm not a huge fan of Thornbridge generally, it must be said) but what really struck me was the range of speciality beers in the fridges behind the bar - manna from heaven for Belgian enthusiasts I would wager. A useful and thoroughly decent addition to Sheffield's excellent and thriving pub scene.

Located at the north end of platform one inside Sheffield railway station, with doors onto the platform and to the street. Judging by the windows it's a joint venture between Thornbridge and the Bernard brewery of the Czech Republic. On the platform side there is one long room with the bar counter running down one side, a mix of bench seating, high and low tables and chairs to the other side by the large windows. Eight handpumps plus a range of taps for European beers and UK ciders including a number from Bernard. The lower half of the barback is all fridges stocking a good range of world-wide bottled beers, all are listed in the beer menu. The UK ales on my visit were all from Thornbridge but a wider choice is sometimes available, most recently from Brewdog, it's probably best to check their facebook page (or twitter if they do it) for details. Quality was pretty much up to the mark but in spite of it being a quiet lunchtime the staff weren't quite as slick as their uniforms. I called back later in the evening when the place was rammed, it's not that big, and perversely the (same) staff were much more alert. There is also a small seating area on the street side of the bar.

Called in between trains so didn't have long, but I was impressed. Good choice of their own Thornbridge ales, and they were showcasing Brewdog beers so we had two of them and they were brilliant. Will call in on next Sheffield crawl when I have more time.
