E TA left this review about Living Room

More upmarket bistro than pub, the Living Room, one of a chain, has a large, open, light piano bar fronting onto George Street and a cosier restaurant area behind. The piano in question is a white baby grand and looks more trendy than traditional, but it does give the room a focus other than the modern, sterile bar which suits cocktails more than beer. Staff are pleasant and make for good eye candy, and the food is "a la carte" (which translates here as "a bit stylised and formulaic"). It tasted OK but was overpriced for what it was. No real ale available, but the wine selection was OK. A good place to go for lunch, especially if entertaining, and I'd be happy to bring the wife here for a snack, but not good for inclusion on a crawl.
