Steve C left this review about The Merlin

The Merlin is a large Greene King pub with an L-shaped bar counter in the left rear corner that faces some high tables. Standard tables are found in the open plan front and more seating is in a raised area to the right rear. Televisions are located throughout for airing Sky Sports and there was some background music playing during a recent midweek afternoon visit. Out the front are some picnic tables and at the rear there is a decked seating area that leads to some seating in an AstroTurf area.
The bar counter supports four handpumps that were drawing GK Abbot Ale and IPA alongside Spey Valley Brewery’s David’s Not So Bitter and Alchemy Charisma. A standard and premium keg range was also available, as was the usual GK food menu. I found the service to be polite, but this place is very forgettable as it’s like any other large chain pub.
