Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Swan
One of a couple of pubs in the village of Blakedown, this one has now dropped out of the Good Beer Guide. A CAMRA discount is still offered and during our visit, a guy from the local branch popped in to replenish stocks of the local CAMRA magazine. However, the choice of real ale did not match, with Rocking Rudolph being the only option.
There are a number of different sections in the pub, but there appears to be a focus on dining. Our visit was mid-afternoon. So, the only diners remaining had just finished their meals. Quite a few used glasses on the bar suggested that the pub had been busy a little earlier, but it was quiet by the time we got there.
There's a large car park to the right-hand side of the pub and some outdoor drinking space too. Nothing really to attract me back here though.

Ian Mapp left this review about The Swan
Pub Dining Eatery emblazoned on the relatively newly decorated exterior. A slightly off choice for the Good Beer Guide, but I see a prominent sign offering 20% off for CAMRA members, so maybe that swung it.
A front bar and larger conservatory for dining. Two real ale on - Twisted Spire (fine) and Ubu Purity.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Swan
A traditional looking country pub, with a slightly overdone modern interior. The interior was spotlessly clean and tidy, just too bling for me, too many cushions, fabrics, large fancy mirrors, cut flowers etc. However the main attraction in here was the beer quality, as the manager is fastidious over his cask ale. Three handpumps on the bar, with two in use on our visit, Wye Valley HPA and Backyard Brewery Harmony, both of which were in excellent condition.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Swan
Attractive old pub on the southern edge of the village, set down a bit below the current road level before the dip was taken out. However, it has been comprehensively modernised in recent years, and now has a contemporary look in a remodelled 'L'-shaped interior that still retains five seating / dining areas in and around the bar. Three real ales on handpump: Three Tuns XXX, Hop Shed's Pekin Worcestershire pale ale and Swan Gold from Swan Brewery (£3.70, less 20p Camra discount).
