The Tatton Arms is a small local JW Lees boozer with seating under the windows to the left of the entrance and a pool table to the right that is faced by the bar to the right on the rear wall. To the left rear is more seating and a dartboard. Heart radio was playing through the television mounted up on the right wall.
The bar supports a standard and premium keg range as well as three hand pumps. Two of these were unused leaving JW Lees Bitter as the only cask ale option. The service was polite, but being a non-local I wouldn’t make the effort to walk out of town to visit here again.

Another former Boddingtons pub, that has now been acquired by JW Lees. There used to be a traditional vault and lounge, split by a central bar, but now the pub has been opened out and the bar relocated on the back wall. The layout does however manage to retain some feel of different areas, helped by the retention of the former chimney breast and side walls in the middle of the pub. The current Tatton Arms is a 1920s rebuild of an earlier pub which succumbed to a major fire.
Mostly carpeted, three fireplaces, decor is mainly old photos of Manchester and Altrincham, seating is traditional, a rear corner is set up for live music, and there may be a dartboard here sometimes as there was a darts mat laid out on the floor. The pub is a bit of a back street locals place, and it was pleasingly busy and lively on Saturday afternoon with a bunch of regulars either watching the football on TV or exchanging banter with the young barmaid.
As said, JW Lees ales, three handpumps, serving Lees Bitter and Dragonfire with one being unclipped. No signs of food at the time but I saw a poster advertising food at a forthcoming event. A decent community local worth popping into.
Please note that it was open in the early afternoon although I don't know the hours during the week (see note below re 4pm opening).
