Fairly basic local which could do with a bit of TLC. I think it's been tidied up a bit since I was last in there, but it could still do with a bit more. There seemed to be a few "characters" in there. Pool table and darts board.
Three hand pumps on the bar, but only one appeared to be in use, dispensing Courage Best. Also Addlestones & Blackthorn cider.

Backstreet corner boozer at the end of the street I grew up in. It used to be painted blue then. Popped in to see what was going on 21 years after moving away – the answer was not much. Two unused handpumps, a fairly basic and grubby interior and a couple of shifty-looking locals. Given there are three other pubs within a few hundred yards of here I think this has ended up being the poor relation. Still, the name and the pub sign (still the same one almost a quarter of a century later) are of passing interest.
