Hidden gem? Too right! An old-school village pub has been totally transformed by the new owners. A gang of us visited on Good Friday - they were closed, but opened when they saw we were disappointed! We were overwhelmed by the place - a long narrow bar with comfy seats and lots of space to sit. At the back is a pool room, a restaurant, and a snug (8' x 6' at a stretch) - the only snug we've come across recently. There are old pub artefacts, a huge Welsh family Bible, and a cast-iron stove. Good range of reasonably-priced beers, usually 2 guest ales (only one when we we visited) and a selection of bottled beers. Sky TV, pool table, jukebox, quiz nights on Thursday; open weekday evenings and all day at weekends. Check it out!
