Built directly opposite the entrance to the Castleford Tigers RL ground. The Wheldale Hotel changed it's name to The Boot Room in the early years of the 21st century. The old Wheldale Colliery was just 200 yards up the road from here, and was very popular with the colliers.
Very busy on match days, with customers often shoulder deep and spilling out onto the road outside.
