The Old Moseley Arms, Birmingham

The Old Moseley Arms was recently voted CAMRA Birmingham pub of the year 2013.

I have seen this pub advertised in Out in Brum on numerous occasions, so I was pleased to visit here at last. We arrived on the first day of their Beer Fest, which they have four times a year. They also had a very good selection of five ales on the bar. We were pleased to see some homemade samosas on our arrival which were very good, served with two dipping sauces. This encouraged us to try their chicken tikka and a couple of curries, which were excellent. In spite of trying numerous ales from the fest, the two Gun Dog beers on the bar were top notch. They were Gun Dog Booze Hound and Gun Dog Bad to the Bone. Staff, owner and customers were all very friendly. Will defo return.

A great little pub with friendly staff, has a cracking comedy night also, the comedy night is free entry and is every first Saturday of the month,

Excellent traditional pub, especially considering the location in inner city Birmingham. A bit dark inside but lovely traditional fittings. Would love this as my local. A number of small rooms, lots of dark panel wood. 3 real ales, and regular beer festivals.
