A smallish shop conversion proving that there was demand for another local pub despite a couple of recent closures. There is one smart modern room with grey decor behind shop windows which look as though they ought to open out, but don't seem to. The... [more>]

Created to replace the closed Royal Mail pub that used to be nearby, this is a conversion of what was once the letter sorting room behind the former post office, apparently utilising materials reclaimed from the old pub. The result is a cosy, carpete... [more>]

A pleasant and comfortable bar tucked in the back of the shops, facing a car park, furnished with peripheral banquettes in the traditional way. There are a few benches outside also. A nice bank of six handpumps offered a slightly more exotic range th... [more>]

A pleasant but fairly unremarkable village pub with an emphasis on the food trade. There are two sides of the bar inside, a conservatory and a tabled patio area outside, with a larger garden and children's play area across the car park. The TT Landlo... [more>]

A good traditional pub in the backstreets, near the old canal. The bar is a slightly bilious shade of blue but otherwise fairly unspoiled. The right hand side is the 'public bar' area, with darts and pool, with a dining area behind the other side and... [more>]

Tucked away in a former industrial area which is slowly being 'improved', this is the brewery tap for the adjoining Firehouse brewery, housed in a splendid Victorian industrial building once part of the gasworks. It is a rather nice bar with gas ligh... [more>]

A nice rural pub by the former Louth Navigation, tastefully modernised and attracting a steady food trade. The front bar has a drinking area and a lounge part to the side with a dartboard and fireplace, while the plain but tidy back room is set out f... [more>]

My first visit to the Quest in years. I used to use the old George & Dragon years ago. I had a pint of "Knights Quest Ale" which was fine.

Enjoyed my visit here. A good selection including HPA, Three Tuns Solstice, Golden Glow, Woods Shropshire Lass, Hobsons Town Crier, Church End Fallen Angel and Britt Brewery Working Mons Dark. The three we tried were all excellent. Well worth a visit... [more>]

A good Spoons housed in an interesting building. A fair selection of beers on (which I failed to note for some reason!). I can say that whatever I had was in decent nick!

Classic looking pub next door to the Spoons. Well used by the locals. 2 beers on - Enville ale and Gothic. Both were fine. Worth calling in.

Proper locals pub with no real ale. I have been in plenty times over the years and have always felt welcome.

Last time I visited Norwich in February 2019, this was my favourite pub. So, I made sure to pay a return visit this time around. As with a few other pubs, it didn't seem quite as good. It's a fairly small place, but with real ales and craft beers. T... [more>] |
