A small wine bar with a pleasant albeit small garden at the rear. Dogs are allowed in the garden but not the bar. It’s a single room, pleasantly furnished, and there is a friendly atmosphere brought about by the landlord who is welcoming and enthusiastic. No real ale, sadly, and no beer worth mentioning – it is indeed a wine bar, and as the name suggests, it’s mainly Portuguese in theme. Some reasonable wines, tapas-style food, and amicable chat, but somehow just doesn’t cut it as a pub. I’d be happy to pop in for a drink and a snack but it’s not the place for a session or inclusion on a crawl.
