Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Albert's Ale Microbar

Inconspicuous little basement bar / micro-pub beneath a very ordinary looking hotel (indeed, I walked right past it first time...). Limited amount of mixed furniture - mostly padded red benches, chairs and stools - so plenty of room to stand (if you are so inclined), and decor that wouldn't look out of place in 100 of other Blackpool establishments. However, what makes it stand out is the emphasis on real ale, with Crankshaft Fishwicks, Bank Top Flat Cap (£3.20) and Snowhill Porter on handpump plus Beer Bros Gold on gravity along with a couple of ciders.

Will Larter left this review about Albert's Ale Microbar

The Albert Hotel is an ordinary bed-and-breakfast hotel on a street with several dozen like it. The distinguishing feature is the recently installed micropub, or microbar, in the breakfast lounge. Entering the premises requires prospective customers to press a bell-push on the front door and wait for the landlord to come and open it.

Once inside there is a room with a few tables and a couple of armchairs, and on the wall a list of three beers with their respective pump clips. (A real cider is also listed.) The beer is kept on stillage in a small kitchen area at the back of the room. The room itself is kept at a remarkably high temperature, and whatever cooling system is employed on the barrels is not sufficient to get the beer to a drinkable temperature. I had a beer called Hubsters Tribute, which was drinkable but not anywhere near top condition. This is a shame, because the idea of selling real ale in a place like this is sufficiently innovative to tickle my fancy. If it's to be successful, the room temperature needs to drop and the beer needs to be looked after a little better. An actual bar counter wouldn't hurt...
