This is a proper micropub set in a split level rectangular room and with another room upstairs that I didn't check out. The cellar room is on the left as you enter and the beer and ciders are served directly here across a small bar. There was a fair crowd in on a Saturday afternoon.
There were six varied beers on Allendale Thunderstruck, Oakham Citra, Errant Razorback Stout, Thornbridge Galaxia, Robinsons Dark Vader and Fyne Jarl. I went for the Galaxia, Razorback Stout and Thunderstruck which were all in excellent condition. I only wrote down the price of the Thunderstruck as it was £2.30 a half and only served in that measure so I had to keep going back to top my pint glass up. It was a superb strong (7.4%) New World pale. The other beers were more normal prices.
I thought this was a great place.

A well run micro with the beer stored on stillage in a room on the left of entrance and served through an opening hatch in a timber and glass partitioned wall. There are three main drinking areas, which consists of a main room, a snug down a couple of steps at the far end and a further room upstairs, which was a good size, for any over spill, when busy. There was a choice of five ales and four ciders/perry on our visit. We went for the Great Heck Christopher and Pictish Opal, both were in good shape and we enjoyed our visit here, early doors Saturday.

The Station House is a small micro pub that was converted from other use,it is situated almost under the large rail bridge which overlooks Durham.
Once inside there is a small oblong shaped room ,the seating is a couple of tall tables and stools, one long table with stools and one normal table with chairs.
The beers are stored in a separate room on stillages which can be viewed from the main room.
I had a drink of Brass Castle Northern Blonde which was a very nice drink, the other beers noted were from Mordue,Fernandes and Grafton.
With the pub being quite small it was quite busy with a decent relaxed atmosphere.
A very pleasant micro pub that is a short walk to the train station.
