The Moon Hotel is a fairly large pub that was built in the early 30s to serve the workers from the nearby Celanese factory.
When i first visited this pub it was a Bass tied house with a fairly nice drink of Bass on the bar.
Once inside the pub had two rooms with a fairly large lounge type room and a smaller bar,there was also a seperate function room to the rear.
The pub still has real ales on the bar with Pedigree and Bass being the usuall ones.
The pub has been under threat of closure for a number of years but it is still trading at the moment,i hope it continues to do so.
