Will Larter left this review about The Star Inn
This is the most westerly pub on the Brampton Mile, hence either the last or the first, or possibly the turning point, depending on the sequence in which you tackle them. It has faux half-timbering both inside and out, with the bar running down the right hand side of the two rooms knocked into one.
Two of the six available hand pumps were on, serving Courage Best and Deuchars IPA. The gents toilet is through the unmarked door next to the ladies, at the back of the pub, which also gives access to the small decked area to the rear. Not a destination pub in itself, this is a pleasant enough stop on the Brampton Mile. Opens at 3pm during the week.
