I've been here twice, once on my bike (when a wedding reception was taking place at the pub but I wasn't made to feel unwelcome) and again on a pub crawl by public transport with a group of friends. The beer was of good quality on both occasions, with plenty of choice of locally brewed ales. The pub is very smart and well presented. Service was good. We didn't order any food. Definitely worth a visit - it's on the 170 bus route between Chesterfield and Bakewell, an hourly service during the day.
