A decent pub for real ale and 6 of the 8 handpulls were clipped. A decent variety of beer styles were available. The pub is a bit sterile inside decor wise though. Still had perspex shields on the bar to protect staff from the unclean. Like most pubs in Ulverston it was nice enough.

The Swan is situated on the edge of Ulverston on the main road out of the town and was probably the third best of the ten pubs I visited in the town on Thursday evening.
There's a good ale range here. 7 different ales were on for my visit - Fell Tinderbox IPA, Acorn Gorlovka, Mallinson's Centennial, Hawkshead Windermere Pale & Mosaic, Rudgate Jorvik Blonde & Timothy Taylor Landlord.
The landlord and customers were all friendly.

This is a detached free-house pub, in the GBG, with a beer garden at the rear. The pub is Victorian, but has a touch of the Georgian too. It is in white render, with black paintwork around the unsympathetically restored windows and on the cornerstones. There is a pilastered doorway and a front gable with finial. It looks tidy, as it does inside. The interior now has a single open plan room (the former rooms being ripped out), which is part partitioned to make a dart area. The place is generally in cream and white, with some blue carpet and some wood flooring. There are a few mixed pictures and a bottle collection, as well as an old kitchen range. There was no food. The TV wasn't on and no music. The service was friendly and a mixed clientele - busy, but mainly local it seemed. Beer; usual tap stuff with Saltaire Raspberry Blonde and Bavarian Black (decent); Yate's Bitter and Landlord's Choice; Hawkeshead Brodie, Lakeland Gold, Windermere Pale and Cumbrian 5 Hop and a Phoenix White Tornado. A great pub, with quality beer. I could stay here all day.
