This is an old fashioned Victorian Hotel right in the centre of Penrith. I used to stay here when working at Cumbria Police HQ. It's got a bar at the rear of the hotel which is like an enclosed corridor. They used to have a very overpriced cask ale on the bar that wasn't very well kept. It's a nice enough hotel in a faded sort of way, but I wouldn't call in just for a drink.
