There was no sign of life when I approached the pub at opening time. It transpires that the recent manager, known locally as Shep, has moved on to the Three Tuns in town. Some people are taking over here but it's not clear if they are doing a refurbishment now or are going to open for the "festive period" and do a refurb later.

The Old Wine Vaults is close to the busy crossroads in the middle of Eastwood.
This is a funny looking pub with a tall pitched roof there is also no entrance on the main road, this pub used to be a Shipstones tied house and when i first went in here they had done the pub up making it look very smart with carpets and comfortable seating, there were two real ales on the bar and i had a drink of Shipstones bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Shipstones mild.
I dont know what beers are now on here.
