Large Lees pub that majors on dining. It's all one big space really, but clever use of wood and glass partitioning makes it feel like several areas. Lot's of comfortable seating around the edges along with dining tables and covered chairs. SAdly they have that crap wallpaper that looks like books and is getting to be generic in this sort of pub. There's a couple of large screens which were showing news with the sound off on my visit. Four handpumps on the bar, but only Lees Bitter available, which was in decent nick and was £2.60. It's not got a lot of character anymore since it's been opened out, but it's a pleasant enough place apart from that bloody wallpaper!

This is a J.W.Lees establishment and it won their 2011 award for the best pub food. A well deserved award as my Wife and I enjoyed excellent food and service when we recently dined here. Both the Dining and Bar areas are bright, clean and comfortable.
Entertainment is provided on Friday and Saturday nights.
I have no reservations in recommending this pub especially if you wish to enjoy quality dining at a reasonable price.
