Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The West End

The former New Bulls Head has been given makeover in a semi-modern style that is slightly unexpected in this side street location some way off the main tourist track. However, it is well done, and the new landlord is very welcoming. The main bar still has a pool table at the back but the former shop beside the entrance is now a small lounge. There is also a smart patio beer garden to the rear. Four of six handpumps were operational when I visited, offering Doom Bar, Landlord, Hooky and an excellent pint of Windrush from North Cotswold (£3.80).

This is a really good community local and I endorse all the positive reviews below. The small shop to the right of the entrance is a great local asset while the pub interior is like the tardis opening at the rear to a pool table, darts board and access to a beer garden. The friendly welcome made you feel at home immediately, free newspapers much appreciated and the ale choice on my visit was TT Landlord,Ringwood 49er,Exmoor Gold and a very good Salopian Darwins Origin with a further handpump clip reversed.
It I lived in Stratford this would be my local, there is lots going on and it ticks all the boxes.Ensure you make the effort to walk away from the tourist hot spots to visit this excellent pub.

Real Ale Ray left this review about New Bulls Head

Agree with Pub Signman, this is a good community pub, where you are made most welcome from the friendly staff and the beer quality is excellent. We found the small shop on the right of the entrance quite a novelty and the barmaid told us it was a great asset for the locals to pick something up, instead of hiking into town.
The bar snacks were homemade rolls, pork pies and sponge cake. There was a decent size patio garden out the back and plenty of seating inside. Six handpumps, five were in use on this visit. I went for the Shropshire Gold, which was superb. A definite must when visiting Stratford.
