Close to Deansgate rail and tram stations, this is a Greene King pub with a fairly traditional multi-roomed interior. It has only recently opened after a period of closure. The house beer is Greene King Deansgate, whilst their IPA is also on offer. The guest beer was Timothy Taylor Landlord. I opted for Level Head, also from Greene King, but a keg beer.
Food seemed to be fairly popular here, with a fair few diners present. However, we still managed to find a table in a room at the rear. This is one I can now say I've ticked off. I doubt I'll return anytime soon though.

The Deansgate has a U-shaped island bar with high tables and a beer shelf at the front, banquettes up the left and seating up the right. At the rear is a separate seating area that looks more geared towards dining. No televisions, but there was background music. I counted four hand pumps that were drawing Greene King IPA and TT Landlord. One was unused and the fourth was clipped with Deansgate Manchester which I imagine is either just for show or a rebadged beer. Premium keg was also available, although most were off so maybe it had been a busy weekend. This place is OK for a city centre pub so close to a main station.

Visited mid week. Four hand pulls with one off, leaving Old Speckled Hen, Coach House Honey Pot and Holts Bitter. I went for the Honey Pot, which was drinkable but nothing special. The pub is aiming to be fancy, but unfortunately this is not reflected in the beer selection. Otherwise it is a nice smart tidy pub and also benefits from a real fire. It claims to have a beer terrace accessed from upstairs but I have never investigated it. There was a chalkboard advising that the upstairs area was closed for a private function. Not one I can see myself rushing back to, but it probably catches a fair bit of business due to its proximity to Deansgate station.
