Once the Bricklayers Arms, rebuilt in 1939 with the current name applied in the 1970s and now a Greene King outlet, with all the baggage that entails. It's described on the website as being a 'Waterside Pub' - really??? Multiple screens showing the footie, boxing and rugby simultaneously even though no one was watching, customers being almost exclusively foreign tourists and a noisily gurgling baby; the interior can be gleaned from my photo.
The only plus point here is that GK beers (IPA and London Glory) were outnumbered by guests: Tribute, Sambrook's Junction and Twickenham's Naked Ladies at £2.85 a half and ok.
This is not good by GK standards, but it's better than the awful Shakespeare and terrible Victoria, so we must be grateful for small mercies.

The Travellers Tavern is very handy for Victoria coach station,so i have been in quite a few times for a quick half rater than waiting on the very depressing coach station.
Once inside there is a single oblong shaped room which runs to the rear, the bar is on the left side, there is a small raised area to the front left, the seating is mainly normal tables and chairs.
There are normally three real ales on the bar,on my most recent visit i had a drink of Black Sheep bitter which was a decent drink.
The pub was packed with most in the same boat as me waiting for a bus home.

This traditional pub has been somewhat degraded by Taylor Walker who currently run it. Sited right next to Victoria Coach Station, it attracts an itinerant clientele of the less pleasant kind. It is also very expensive, around 20% more so than other Taylor Walker pubs in the area. The foreign bar staff have a bad attitude, argumentative and unhelpful, and it needed the intervention of the manager, who was actually quite sensible, to resolve the smallest of issues. There were three ales on, I had a pint of the 1730 which, apart from the price, was OK. The clientele and staff attitude put me off so I doubt I'll be travelling back here.
