It’s an Indian-run pub, with a younger local crowd and a side function room containing squawking women. With three clips reversed, there was no ale, so a half of Neck Oil was ordered at £3.40, served in a wine glass.
This is a bit dull, not helped by the pale grey colour scheme and rose red bar front. If I want a more authentic pub-going experience in a modern locals’ boozer, the answer lies in a trip to the nearby Rose & Crown.

A Young's pub with three hand pumps, one reversed and only weak ale, including Doombore. A largish room with outside seating at the back. TVs and a dartboard on the right hand side.

A respectable looking pub, both inside and out. The patio area down the side of the pub was quite busy on our sunny and hot Thursday afternoon visit, with a couple of drinkers inside. As mentioned from Malden Man below, the ale choice in here is still limited, with one Young's bitter and Bombardier on handpump.
This is a friendly and quite homely pub, with three comfortable drinking areas inside.
