Looks like it has been updated since Soup Dragon's visit. Quite modern now inside and I couldn't see any ale at all. I tried for Coors but they were having trouble with that so I settled for a quick Carling. Friendly service but not my kind of place.

A really nice looking 1930s, detached brick pub. The interior has an open plan room, with red and white walls, some artex, with old pictures. There is darts, where we played for a while, and pool. There is Sky TV on a music channel, but not obtrusive. The service was OK, but it was very quiet. Beer; usual tap tosh with Skol! It is a Thwaites pub, so has Smooth and Dark Smooth MILD, which I like. No real ale. No real ale, but at least Thwaites is different to other pubs. Enjoyed darts and the pub as a whole, Will be back

this place serves the best sunday dinner in the area. mash potatoes, four choices of meat, at a very resonable price, get there early or be disapointed
