Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about George & Dragon
Traditional town pub, retaining separate public and lounge bars with a central servery, all set behind quite a plain dark-brick facade. However, apart from the coloured glazing in the two doors inside the entrance lobby, most character has been lost through refurbishment. Landlord (in both standard and Dark versions), Wainwright Gold, Butty Bach and Pale Brummie from Birmingham Brewery (£4.70) available from the four handpumps on each counter.

Another pub with a house beer - George & Dragon ale. Other options were HPA and Black Sheep bitter. The house beer was fine (suspiciously similar to Hobgoblin Gold!). Worth a visit.

Not too many Marstons pubs in the Good Beer Guide.
Really enjoyed my visit here - Banks Bitter in great condition. Pub is a classic of its type - nice interior, with tiled walls and classic pub furniture.
Beer Garden worth checking out - its not every pub where you can drink on a listed Civil War piece of history.
