Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Cock Hotel

Former coaching inn, now a Joule's pub and still a hotel, and whilst looking somewhat run-down in the main bar (especially the bench seating) this also means that many heritage features remain. For example, the curved bay window at the end of the smaller bar (formerly the lounge) is certainly unusual, and the dark wood-panelling in the entrance lobby retains some character. More seating can be found further back, with the former dining room now acting more as a lounge. With two banks of four handpumps, I found three of the brewery's own beers - Pure Blonde, Pale Ale (£3.30) and Slumbering Monk - plus four guests from Hobson's, Ludlow, Izaak Walton and Boss Brewing.

A few minor changes here , it is now a Joules pub so 4 of the 8 handpulls are now given over to there own beers , the other pulls had beers from Salopian , Holdens ,and 2 from Hobsons , the Twisted Spire(£3.50)was just about OK .
A few minor cosmetic changes aside its much the same .

An old coaching inn near the football ground that retains a good bit of history (CAMRA Inventory listed) despite its outwardly plain appearance; three rooms separated by a lovely wood panelled lobby akin to an old hotel. The right-hand room is a slightly shabby lounge with knackered orange carpet, large curved bay window and fabric banquettes (it also, perhaps oddly, hosts a Belgian beer bar with 80+ selection). The main bar has embossed wallpaper, strung dried hops and pew seating. And round the side is a nice lounge diner with wood panelled walls, en route to the bogs. No screens or machines as far as I recall. Eight pumps with all 7 ales from micros and a cider. My first choice, Gorgeous Ruby, was a less-than-gorgeous musty-tasting disappointment but the Green Duck Flame of the West was a lot better. Enjoyed the service from the old skool guv’nor behind the bar. An enjoyable and traditional pub that I’d make an effort to do again though I have a nagging doubt whether there are one or two more ales available than the throughput justifies. (visited June)
